EMPYREAN ECSTASY

It was a love that birthed galaxies
And rocked the slumbering skies
At times it was racing heart beats
At others, tenderly murmured sighs

It sits behind my eyelids
Lies tangled with my soul
It crumbles me to dust
Then builds me up to whole

I wear it in my smiles
And cherish its memories
Why does it make you sad,
Those fascinating reveries

Those comforting reminiscences
Of dreams lived and held close
Rejoice for the touch of rainbows
That in the prisms of hearts still glows
