GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE

Between the tightly drawn curtains
They wrestled a tiny slit
Glowing ecstatically, the yellow white flood
Entered on naughty feet

They climbed all over my rumpled bed
Washed over my sleepy face
And tugged at my lazy heartbeats
Till I began to stir awake

I pried open one dreamy eye
My lips curved slowly in delight
As dust fairies painted your smiling face
Under dancing beams of sunlight
